Osama bin Laden is dead! What more could we possibly want!?
Apparently, there is more a lot of people could want. The photos of his dead body for example. Why?
I honestly can’t think of a good reason. He’s dead, he can’t threaten our freedom again, end of story. What the hell do we need to see his body for?
Reading an article on Yahoo (the link is posted below) I discovered some of the reasons people are giving.
“The pictures will help bring closure to the families of 9/11.” –Rep. Duncan Hunter, a California Republican
“They will serve as a warning to others seeking America’s destruction. No pussyfooting around!” –Sarah Palin
“We can only make decisions about war if we see what war actually is.” –Jon Stewart
To Duncan Hunter:
You don’t give a fuck about giving closure to the families of 9/11. You’ve already admitted you’re a totalitarian Republican who said “I would love a conservative dictatorship if you will, so we could dictate everything, but that’s not how the founders made it.” (See Youtube video below for proof). Secondly, how the hell do you know showing bin Laden’s mangled body will give closure to the families? Have you asked them? Maybe it will bring closure to some families, but different people find closure in different ways.
But, oh yeah, you’re a totalitarian Republican, so you know everything.
To Sarah Palin:
Like the narcissistic whore that you are, you are so ready to throw around the photos like confetti. Maybe if this weren’t the age of the Internet it wouldn’t be so bad, but it is the age of the Internet! People won’t hesitate to alter the images, and or mock them, which will only stoke up extra rage in bin Laden’s followers. Rage they won’t hesitate to take out on the soldiers that are stationed in Afghanistan. I’m all for freedom of speech, but that doesn’t exclude us from responsibility.
But, of course, you’re excluded from responsibility, right? Because you’re Sarah Palin: totalitarian Republican whore #1.
To Jon Stewart:
Jon, I love you. The fact that I made you President of the United States in Error Corrector is proof enough of that. But you don’t always get it right. We need to see what war is if we want to make decisions about war…what the hell!? So we haven’t seen photos/videos of soldiers coming home with their limbs and eyes blown off, we haven’t seen children barely clinging to life with third degree burns on their bodies!? Osama’s dead! What more do we need to see?! God, it’s like what Paul Edgecomb said to Percy Wetmore in The Green Mile.
“It’s not enough for you to watch a man die. You’ve got to smell his nuts cook.”
Or in this case, it’s not enough for us that Osama’s dead, we have to know what the color of his brains are before we’re satisfied.
